Transferred to the wrong account

    If someone transfers money accidentally into an account that's already overdrawn are they able to get that money back if they contact their bank?

    Bank won't send it back. Really only the account holder can do that.

    It was transferred into my old bank account that I don't use any more as I have a payment plan in place to clear the overdraft on it. I am happy for it to be transferred back but as the account is overdrawn can the bank refuse to transfer it back?

    Dont see why they should refuse to transfer it back...
    You've got a plan in place (I'm sure with banks agreement) to clear off the overdraft..So this erronious payment was contrary to the payment plan agreed..
    Yes/no??

    You've just cleared the Overdraft, I think you need a loan now
