Just by chance came upon this today as I was out that way - The National Show Centre ,Swords on SUNDAY 13 OCTOBER 2013

Nice indoor display and logical rows lined up outside, as well as meeting up with a lot of long lost fellow enthuiasts that I only see at shows now :(

Be nice if it was on every 4 months or so ?

I've just arrived home from it. Been there since about 12:30.

Nice show with some nice cars on display, although a lot of the stuff there wasn't anything I haven't seen before. I couldn't understand why they had the likes of an SLK, Rover 75, Jag X and S type's inside on display though.

The cars inside were for sale, albeit newer cars. There were a lot of overpriced cars there with a few fairly priced ones also.

182,000 Miles Vs 15,000 Miles though.

Regardless of mileage, €3.5k is loony.

Bit of Steel wheels and Son of a Gun on the €350 one, and 'trim' the mileage on the clock - 95% of the public wouldn't notice the difference

Can I ask what's the point in having all classic events calendar in sticky on here if events like this one aren't marked? Been trying to get out to one of them for ages and checked calendar and forums (nothing on done deal in vintage part either) just to find out I've missed it. Soooo disappointed!

A lot of overpriced stuff alright but there was afew tempters. An 89? 5 series with one owner that looked and smelled like new inside going for 3 grand. A few stone chips but apart from that looked in great nick and sounded great when the owner was running it.

The Lambo Countach was the stand out. Never saw one in the flesh. 60k price tag. Wonder did anyone have deep enough pockets today! :D

AFAIK that Countach is a replica. It was on Donedeal a while back.

I have to concur - I saw nothing anywhere about it, just by chance I was out that way and saw the convoys. Would have thought myself that the 'season' was over. Although judging by the attendees there were plenty who did see something about it ( probably airport workers / Swords residents )

This show was advertised in The Irish Vintage Scene, Diary Dates ( Oct. Issue ) which came out in the middle of Sept. I was there last year and enjoyed it, but could not make it this year. Again most cars indoors were very over priced then.:):)

I used to buy IVS, but I found more and more there were less cars and more tractors / commercials featured ( if it sells more then feature them ;) )

A lot of overpricing in all aspects of Irish life still - especially those up in Kildare St

So there's no one on from IVS or remotely linked to IVS on boards who would give heads up to people who are too cheap to buy IVS magazine or any other magazine for this matter.

I was there at 12 and missed a lot in the photos - s'pose 2-4 is the optimum time between the late arrivals and the early leavers ;)
