Terrorist "dry-runs" on US domestic flights! Very strange behavior!

If I'm being honest, it's a load of crap. The authorities are happy for this sort of thing to come out and maintain the fear factor and Mr private investigator gets more hits on his website.

I feel sorry for anyone of middle eastern origin who's flying within the US, you'll have all sorts of muppets taking matters into their own hands and harassing perfectly innocent travellers.

Sorry there are more links where it says its being investigated by the TSA and some other government security group. But ya i get your point, like I said its possibly just paranoia but I personally found it strange that someone would take approx dimensions and do drawings of the cabin and take note of where things are stowed in the galley! Maybe the guy just likes sketching but over all it is strange behavior whether it is terror related or totally innocent.

Similar rubbish circulated only weeks after 9/11. Obviously the author has decided to ignore -
    - These 'arabs' must have visas and if so would have been under scrutiny before getting them. They mist have least learned that from 9/11.
    - The lax security at all US airports and internal flights prior to 9/11 has been changed.
    - The USA is a police state these days and I'd imagine that applied more to some than others.

The only story here is some tanned dude decided to take a long dump while on a flight.

What exactly was the dry run? How to get to the loo or find the drinks cart?

Was the flight immediately diverted ?

Was it immediately intercept by fighters ?

Were these people arrested and sent to a sunny Caribbean Island for a long holiday ?

Has the threat level been increased ?

From my understanding ALL are no's ?

Guess its more a case of not letting the truth get in the way of a good story!! But in fairness if there were dry runs happening like before 9/11 and so many other terrorist attacks I would very much doubt the detail would be released to the press, that would defeat the purpose of monitoring no fly listers and any suspects

And why sit there drawing diagrams of the galley when a Google image search reveals a number of photos of galleys and the various configuration front and rear. It all smacks of a reminder to the public that the terror hasn't gone away,an agenda that the TSA and DHS wish to continue to pursue.

I am with Lord Lucan on this one. I always love the fact that the TSA always state that they do not discuss security matters but they say that investigations are underway when it suits them. Something like this has come up in the past, usually around budget time in the US. There is a lot of paranoia over there at the moment and not all of it is justified. The american people are easily rattled these days. Look at the indecent in DC a few weeks ago, a woman drives her car at a security barrier and they lock the city down and people are running through the streets in fear.

aren't Arabs allowed to troll? maybe there was another one making a video with a hidden cam and now they're laughing their asses off back home

Upon arrival in Charlotte the Two Arab males made a quick departure and I followed then as they headed for their connecting flight which appeared to be to Fort Lauderdale Fl, they both had large backpacks as a carry-on.

Hmmm ... Taking that as evidence I am doing "dry runs" for the past 10 years on Ryanair flights

Exactly ... utter rubbish. And if can you get a large back pack full of terrorist equipment into an airport and go airside then the TSA have a lot of questions to answer.

In the 70s and 80s, airline hijackings were common. Every group with a point to make were doing it and sometimes over and over. How many similar attacks to 9/11 since 2001? None, anywhere in the world. So in theory there should have been so called dry runs constantly since then almost everywhere.

This is the work of vested interests to keep fear on the agenda and justify the police state that the US has turned into.

In fairness there were no similar attacks to 9/11 BEFORE then either. And there have been plenty of hijackings. By the way, i'm most certainly not a tin foil hat wearing stirrer like the dude in the link provided in the OP.

Ahem. Air France flight 8969 in 1994.

I wasn't aware the Eiffel tower was knocked in 1994.

I wasn't aware terrorist attacks could only be directed at towers.

Jermaine Lindsay (L) on a dry run for the 7/7 terror attacks in London in 2005, they all had backpacks.

This bit is hilarious, news at 9, travellers use backpacks!!!

As for the chap drawing diagrams, perhaps just an artist sketching an interesting scene.

My artist girlfriend sketches everything she sees, she is always doing sketches when on trains, buses, etc. the dirty Welsh terrorist!

Why would you sketch it, when you could just use a camera to take pictures.
