Hi guys, I'm looking into international commerce with German in UCD and UCC and business studies with German in Trinity.

Along with the Erasmus year, is there the option to do a work placement.
If so, does the college help in getting one? In UCC, they attract big firms to the course and help you get sorted. Whereas in Trinity, you are on your own. What's the story with UCD?

On your own. Placements are tough to get abroad unless you're a fluent speaker. That said, while abroad you can apply for internships available to native students. Take into account those an internship will have to be done during the summer between your 3rd year and 4th year.
