So I have worked full time for the last 2 years and in Sept '13, I decided to go back to college by day full time. I am now working part time but I only get about 15-18 hours a week. I am wondering if I'm entitled to claim any type of social welfare payment as well as working part time??? As I have bills & rent to pay, 15-18 hours a week are not enough money wise and I would hate to give up my college course due to money issues because I love the course!!

Can anybody help my money dilemma?:confused::confused:

Unfortunately, you're not entitled to a social welfare payment. You may be entitled to a SUSI grant but I think you had to apply for that in August. Try calling SUSI support 076 108 7874. Good luck, I hope you get sorted.

As far as I Know SUSI grants are still open

You can also apply to the college for the student assistance fund

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
