AHers I could do with a little help. About 9 or 10 months ago I was the victim of a prank phone call. It was funny as fcuk but it really had me going at the time, and everyone had a great laugh at my expense.

Now that the fuss has died down I'd love to get the person back. Problem is, I was never able to find out 100% who's responsible. All I have is the phone number, and that it was a woman's voice.

What could I do to (1) find out who it was or (2) a decent prank call that would work on almost anyone?

    Any help appreciated :)

    Explain the prank first.

    So

We don't know what the prank was
You don't know who pulled the prank
But you'd like to get them back for it

    What was the question again?

I remember hearing a prank call ages ago where someones was pretending to be from a seal sanctuary. The victim was told that they had won a seal for a month during an open day (or someone had used their name) and that the truck with the seal and a camera crew were on the way to her house. Went on for a while but very funny. Victim completely freaked out at the thought of having a seal living in her bathtub for a month.

Use her phone number to request call backs from companies on the internet

You could probably use Facebook to see if they can be found with their phone number. Once you find out who it was you could send pizzas, Chinese take away, pest control, a skip, mail order sex toy catalogues, or if you are truly evil, send the Jehovah's witnesses around for tea

    The prank was:

I was asked to be a referee for a guy on his CV.

One day I got a call off a supposed HR person, regarding it. But he'd used MY cv, with his name on it, so she was asking me had he covered x,y,z which were all positions I had held.

I found myself just answering yes to all questions, thinking "Im gonna kill this fcuker when I get him"

Get yourself and a few male mates to phone the number and ask if she is available for a 30 minute quicky and how much for "the full service package". When she demands to know who gave you her number have the last guy say the name of the lad who copied your CV. Assuming he was behind the last prank she will assume he is pulling one on her this time.

I did a prank call on my mate and he got my back even worse

He put an ad on gumtree "London" in the freebie sector saying id won a flatpack kitchen and was giving it away free, my phone nearly exploded with calls and texts, took 2 days before he removed it

Another one the same guy pulled was putting a caravan in the freebie section he posted it in gumtree "Glasgow" and had lots of drunk or angry Scots calling him

Their both decent, but surely they'd notice it was an international mobile number?

Online ads in her hometown/area ..... simples

At the time I was living in Belfast, so unfortunately this prank won't have the same effect

So for your case you can try Dublin, Cork, Galway

But just think of something good to give away for free, the more extravagant the better as people like free stuff

Yeah but she can knock the phone off for a day or so. Id rather make one good call, have her freaking out, instead of just being annoying with loads of calls & texts.

Good luck with that but with her number being from a different country then your own I don't think you're going to have any success with it.

It's not, its the same country.

I thought you said it was an international number. Sorry, I guess I assumed that was from another country.

Call them and say you're from Microsoft and that their PC has a virus. When they tell you to piss off, wait a few days and ring them again. Few Indian lads been trying to get me with that one, oooh *shakes fist*

We had a phone call like that a couple of weeks ago. It turned out to be some Indian guy trying to sell computer equipment.

Put his number up on done deal with like ps3 for sale 60 quid. He'll be getting phone calls and text for the best part of a week.

Put an add on Gumtree selling cheap 1 Direction or Bieber tickets.

    Am I missing something?

Why prank her and not the guy who pranked you?

She wasn't a real HR manager, therefore she pranked me!

Thought it was pretty funny and innovative!:)

    Yeah send them pizza, man.

Seriously though you should put up an ad on gumtree for something really popular and put her number on it. It will wreck her head if her phone is on or off.

I suppose it was, I think my friends pranks are usually more nasty so I've been a bit desensitised.

    That's a crap prank.

It puts you on the spot. You confirm you know the person, and you worked together then she starts talking about your role and you're left stuttering "erm.. yea.. " whilst the call was being recorded and later played in the pub.
