    Hi,

I have a problem. I put a rag of white spirits into wash with other clothes, and now they all smell.

Anyone have any tips to remove smell, tried vinegar and bread soda but smell still lingers.

    Thanks
    Ed

I would imagine that the simplest solution would be just to hang them of a washing line for a day or so to air them.

Wash them again, hang them out. My white spirits/petrol/diesel/God-knows-what soaked workclothes end up in the washer with my other stuff all the time, much to my family's ire. If the smell is that big an issue, any decent fabric softener will take care of it.
