staircase refurb

    want to rip up the carpet on the stairs but the existing steps on the staircase are not great
    is there any system i can use to cover the steps
    banister and balustrades are fine

    Yep - you can retread the stairs - something like this:

    I've seen the end result in the US, and it looks good. Not sure where you'd source it here though...

    We do this quite often. Any local Joinery will be able to sort you out.
