Got big dirty lumps on the inside of these alloys.

I've ordered a litre of AS tardis, hoping to have it early next week.

Is there anything else i could use? The Autoglym tar remover barely made a dent in it.

and i couldn't get my hands on holts tar and general spot gel stuff anyway here.

Butter removes tar. Messy, but effective.

Trust me on this one lads.............. White spirits is the only answer its cost very little and works amazing. Just give them a was with soapy water afterwards. Let me know how you get on.

Try Kerosene. Wash it off afterwards with soapy water.

Spray liberally with wd40, wait ten mins. Wipe off and wash.
That how I do mine anyway.

Try soaking a cloth in petrol ,wear a good pair of rubber gloves.not the thin ones you get in auto shops,Household washing up gloves are better.keep rubbing with the cloth and the tar will come off very quickly.when you have all the tar removed,Have a bucket of warm sudsy water ready and give the wheels a good rub down...shud do the trick for ya.

I used Orchard Tar Remover on my skirts today. Melted the tar spots off like butter. Quick re-wax with Turtle Wax Ice liquid afterwards and all is hunky dory. I got it from Curran of this parish.

    Strongly agree.

You won't need anything else. You may need more than 1 hit on some bad spots but it will shift it.

Use an old spray bottle to save product if possible, if you do you a cloth to apply it, do not put it into the washing machine with regular clothes or they will all smell of tardis. I know this to be fact :o

    Cheers lads.

    Hopefully have the tardis tomorrow.

All cloths go in the bin after use!

I wouldnt use my good mf cloths on my wheels to wipe tar.
    Use old rags or something.

Tardis is fúckin amazing stuff. The lumps are just running off after a spray.

    glad this tardis is working.
would have suggested petrol. shoot me but i always use petrol to remove tar from the sides of the car. tell me if i'm wrong:confused:

Not a fan of using any type of cloth or rubbing action to remove tar. Obviously on some occasions it is necessary.

Tardis is very good, but I find you have to use a lot of it, as its very watery; just runs straight off the car.
The only good thing about Holts, is that its a gel, so dwells on the car and works on the tar for longer, softening it enough to rinse off, so its touchless. - wouldnt be a fan of it, as its extremely aggressive and very messy.

I use Orchard Autocare Tar Cleanse; it is a bit more expensive, but if you are a bit lazy like me, its a spray on, walk away, rinse a few minutes later and most of the time its done the job on all the tar...touchless.

The tar came off, think the paint work is damaged from no proper cleaning ever. got black spots all over the inside of the rim.
