Hi, there's someone works at the local shop, I used to think "he" was a very iffeminate gay lad, but with budding boobs, growing hair, waxed or whatever chin, earrings now in both ears etc it is obvious what is really happening.

There are quite a few of us heading up to Belfast for a day next month. It isn't a closed group and none of us will know everyone, and we'll be splitting up into small groups when we get there.

Do you think it would be putting her in an uncomfortable position if I invited her to join me for a girl's day out shopping?

I can't imagine you would be, and if you were couldn't she could just politely decline? Ask away I'd say ;)

I can imagine someone being a bit weirded out if their first interaction is to be asked to go on a shopping trip with you, in another city. I don't know how I'd react but I can imagine being quite taken aback. Maybe ask them for a coffee first?
