Mortgage - failed direct debit

    Hi.

Quick question, I am currently saving for a mortgage so am constantly transferring any surplus money from my current account to my savings account.

On Tuesday I drained my current account knowing I had enough cash until Thursday.
But the problem is I forgot I had a direct debit on Wednesday for a bill of 40 euro.
    obviously the direct debit failed.

Now my question, when I apply for a mortgage in Feb 2014 will this failed dd cause a problem for me?

Also this has only happened once before. About 3 years ago.

    Thank you
