So guys I was just an hardwareversand and found this AMD card. I know it's the new cards/card that are out by AMD. But my question is how good are they compare to 760's or the other cards from AMD&Nvidia?

Here's the link to the card I found

    http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=110125&agid=1942&pvid=4oparj11c_hmom5krm&ref=13

    Radeon R9-280X = Radeon HD7970 (card is rebranded/rebadged)

It is a good bit faster than the Nvidia 760 and trades blows with the Nvidia 770(which costs a lot more....)

That is a very good price and the Windforce coolers are meant to be pretty good.

Get a 7970 TOP on overclockers. So cheap. So good. Will match/outperform a 770 for a 100 quid less. A 7970 Platinum is 25 pounds more and will clock to 1300mhz. I wouldn't go for it, the TOP will do 1200-1250 which isn't far off, last 50-100 is almost worth 25 quid IMO.

Thank you but I was more just wondering about the R9 280X that's about it. Currently I'm saving money for a build. Which I will be ordering in around 10-12 days.

It is a 7970, just rebranded. Same chip, but more expensive.

Definitely don't buy a R9 280X just buy the same chip inside an "old" card which will have the price reduced

Yeah guys I wasn't even planning to buy the R9 280X. I just asking about it pretty much. My build that was built by BloodBath is set on the GTX 760.

I guess this will help out other people.

Hey, can I get a link to the exact card you're on about, I was thinking about the Sapphire 7950, but the one your on about sounds crazy for the money.

That's the top and the Platinum. The Platinum was going for as low as 222 pounds last night. Unfortunately they have gone up in price again. They will probably drop again though.

290x and 290 are new cards based on new architecture. 290x will probably outperform a 780 by a bit while costing the same roughly. They are expected to be released in the next few weeks, with the NDA being lifted on the 15th (allowing reviews etc to be released). It might be delayed too, but I'm not sure.

So I've been google-ing and haven't found any reviews yet, is it because the Americans are asleep?.

Quite excited about the 512-bit Mem interface.
