    Hi folks,

Perhaps someone could tell me my best option.
I have dell dimension 9150 and the user experience on it is gone extremely poor. It has 2 x 1gb ram sticks side by side. I downloaded speccy and it says they are 266mhz and single channel.

My questions are as follows (and I appreciate some help if you have a minute)

Will buying 2 more 1gb 266mhz improve the experience on the pc.? This would fill the empty slots and bring it to 4.

Should I change the whole lot to 533mhz?

How do I get the dual channel working? I did some reading already and dual channel seems to be the way to go

    As always, thanks
    Irish

What type of RAM is it? DDR3?

It might be worthwhile doing a cleanup of the system. Running ccleaner to delete the temporary files and free up the system a bit. Uninstall old programs you no longer use. Also if it's Windows XP or older, you should defragment.
