Barry McGuigan confirms they've had an offer to fight Quigg but they won't discuss it until after the Parodi fight. #framptoncomesalive

lets hope the jackal doesnt lose sight of the prize next saturday night. This would be an excellent fight

I don't think Quigg has what it takes to make it a real competitive fight. Carl to win comfortably.

oh id agree. I wonder if Hearn has made a ludicrous type Frank Warren offer to the Frampton camp?

Either way, i really think Carl should take it, it'll be his quickest route to a world title

Quigg on points if it happens and it certaintly wouldn't be an easy fight for Frampton. I'd like to see Frampton fight Kiko(if he's still champion) and win the IBF title and then fight Quigg. Both should stay away from Rigondeaux though as they would both get stopped. Think Frampton is a bit overrated myself.

Rigo would be far too good. Both on the same night he'd take.

why would you rate Quigg higher than Frampton, if you dont mind me asking?

Was a 50/50 fight until I saw Quiggy vs Salinas last week. The kid was clueless until the 7th. Frampton has too much of a brain for him and will beat him convincingly.

Rigondeaux is the best fighter on the planet by a country mile. Both should avoid him at all costs!

You could throw the two of them in at the same time. I think Quigg wrote in his preview of Rigo-Donaire about how god-like Rigo was when he got in a ring with him. Different levels entirely.

I think they are just about at the same level but right now I would just favour Quigg in a very close decision. I would just fancy him over the 12 rounds, he's a bit of a slow starter but is one of the fittest boxers around and really comes on strong, thought he won the fought against Salinas by 2 rounds myself. I think Frampton could improve past Quigg but right now I think Frampton is a bit inexperienced for a 12 round fight against someone quite evenly matched with himself. I like both of them but do think Frampton gets overrated a bit. I would love to see him win the IBF against Kiko and then fight Quigg in a unification for the WBA/IBF. That would be a huge fight for British boxing.

    all fair points.

I honestly thought the fight would be even enough until i saw Quiggs' fight last week against the Cuban.

For me that showed him up to actually be a bit of a novice really. I just think his lack of amateur experience will shine through when he meets truly talented fighters.

Besides Rendall Munroe he's not really fought anybody of note. Granted, i thought he was fantastic against Munroe, but Munroe was well past it by the time they met.

I just think Framptons amateur experience, genuine knockout power and equally fantastic cardio would be too much for Quigg.

But yeah, just like you said, it would be a massive fight for british boxing. But i personally think its muscle flexing by both camps. I cant see the fight happening until Framptons Boxnation contract is up

Seems to me that Quiggs best asset is his engine, as mentioned here. But, after that I can't see any area at all where he matches Carl.

frampton has just as good engine as scott but has serious power in both hands, and much more ringcraft quigg is very one dimensional...as for rigo stay well clear

I rave about Rigo way too much but, he will make a fool of Quiggy and Frampton! He is in outer space he's so far ahead of the rest of them!

Indeed. Can't wait to see Rigo in the ring with the likes of Lomachenko. I know it's early, but Lomachenko is a veteran as regards being in a ring. Rigo has more pro fights, but I still think we need to see this fight soon. Looking at Lomachenko I think 130 lbs beckons for him. Rigo is not as big and would likely not carry the extra weight as good. Right now for me it's at the top of my dream fight list. Oh, throw in Lomachenko against Gamboa as well. That's number 2.
