    Okay,

This is a little odd. I was just driving north bound on the M50 from the city centre towards Blanchardstown (I'm a passenger) when I see a Garda escort going southbound across the divide. There was what I can only describe as a motorcade. I assumed that it had something to do with the IMF but upon closer inspection, everyone in the vehicles appeared to be a Muslim man. Like all of them. Buses minivans cars, everyone I saw was a man wearing a taqiyah.

Does anyone know what the guards were doing? Or what's going on? Just out of interest. I mean without all the guards you would have thought these lads were a middle aged 11 a side team or something!

    ¡arriba, arriba! ¡andale, andale!

I'd say they are heading out for the funeral in Newcastle for the Muslim family burnt in Leicester.

Perhaps it's for that doctor whose family was killed in the arson attack in the UK the funeral is in Dublin

Possibly something to do with that surgeon's family that were killed in the house fire in the UK? I heard on the news he was bringing his family back for burial in Dublin. RIP.

Just to be clear now it wasn't a GARDA motorcade. It was gardaí escorting a motorcade.

When my two cousins died in a house fire 15 years ago we got a Garda escort from the church to the cemetery. It was along the n3 and the Garda blocked the exits to the m50 for us so the cars travelling with the funeral cars didn't get separated. Probably the same sort of thing.

Its fairly common for large or in any way media interest funerals, have seen it a number of times before. Would have been Irish and British media covering that funeral today.
