Never serviced my car myself

I have thought about servicing my car myself but never have. I have always gone to a main dealer to get the service done.

But in an effort to save money, I'd like to do it myself.

My question is, is it a hard job to do when I've no experience what so ever. Do I just need to change the oil and oil filter? And is the oil filter easy to get at?

    I've got a 2008 Peugeot 207 1.4 HDI.

I know that I need an oil extractor to get the oil out, and from what I read, the oil comes our easy enough.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You'd get the oil and filter done for about 50 in Blake's cross. Again you'd by the oil, filter and pay to get rid of used oil, works out about the same.

They'll stamp your service book, helping residuals.

You could get air and pollen filters from Mick's garage and fit them your self..

Give it a go yourself, it's easier than you think.
With that car you won't have to get underneath which speeds things up.
