Pearl Izumi Elite Softshell Jacket - you can pick one up from cyclestore.co.uk for about €110.

I bought the DHB Windslam a few years back - nice jacket, good value, fits well etc. However I much prefer to wear a gilet with a long sleeve jersey in winter these days. Feels tighter and less flappy.

Generally you can't go wrong with DHB. The EQ 25 looks nice :

I'd echo the praise for DHB, I've got the EQ25 and about to enter my second winter with it. I've put down a tonne of mileage from commuting to club spins/training in all sorts of weather. I've much more expensive Gore jackets but the DHB is the one I will reach for first when it get nippy and wet.

I have a couple of softshell jackets but find them very sweaty! Much prefer my Assos 851 jacket which I find you can wear through 3 seasons just adding/removing base layers as needed. Not cheap but I have one that has to be 15 years old and still in great nick!
