    Hi all,

Just wondering if someone can help point me in the right direction for the next part of an upgrade?

My setup was originally to be a htpc only but, as I'm sure one or two of you can attest to, I couldn't stop messing with it and adding bits here and there, so it really doesn't fit in anywhere at the moment!

I've made the decision to move on from consoles and only want one box under my TV to do everything including games, but now I'm not sure which part to upgrade first or which will get me the best bang for buck performance wise.

    My current setup includes:

    Asrock a75m itx
    AMD a6 3500 triple core
    SAPPHIRE HD 7750
64 gb SSD (best thing I ever bought)
    4 gb ram

Right now I'm getting 27 - 30 fps on Bioshock Infinite using the amd/raptr gaming evolved settings, which is playable and looks good to me. However I appear to be approaching the top end of what this card is capable of.

Budget wise I don't really have one but would prefer not get get into silly territory. Would appreciate your opinions on the best place to start here and whether I'd be better off just upgrading to an am3+ and starting again?

    Thanks!

What case and power supply do you have?
How silent does the build need to be?

You have a FM1 motherboard, which leaves you no real room to upgrade.
I would say you are getting a new motherboard, cpu and gfx card if you want to game better.

    Cheers for the reply!

I have a Be Quiet 450w (can't remember the exact model) and a thermal take element q case that has been modified to allow the gpu in.

Silence under normal lead us important (also have a big shuriken 2 cooler) but when gaming not a problem.

Agree that the fm1 is a problem, there aren't too many new cpus in the horizon now that fm2 has made it redundant, but was hoping there may be a way to get some better performance without the need for the Mobo replacement.

I'm be moving everything into an old cit (or should that be sh!t) case if I need to upgrade so the only limiting factor the is micro at Mobo.

Would a hd7850 gpu and an extra 4gb ram give much benefit here?
