Storage heater (not storing!)

So two nights ago we decided it was time to put the heating on given it has gotten chilly lately. We have storage heaters that come on when the night-time electricty rate cuts in. You also have the option to use them as a standard heater with instant heat. However after turning the heater on there is no heat in the morning. The light on the socket comes (one on the left in pic) on and the direct heating works fine as well so I'm guessing the actual 'heater' part is working but for some reason the storage part isn't. I notice that a similar heater in another room emits a slight humming nooise when the nightsaver electricity starts and this heater is working normally. There is no such nouse from the malfunctioning one however so I'm guessing there is some particular electrical fault somewhere. Anyone have any experience on how easy this would be to fix? (I wouldn't attempt it myself)

Your storage heater is probly a combi meaning it has two separate heaters one instant and the other storage.There are two desperate switches turn on the other one and leave on the heater will charge at night and emit heat in morning.

Yeah it's one of the combi ones. The instant heat works fine, but the overnight heater isn't working at all. I have put on the correct switch (which lights up when the nightsaver kicks in) but still no heat in the morning. I read somewhere it might be a tripped thermostate within the heater itself.

There is a fused link in the heater that might be gone best to call in an electrician
