Clondalkin is a very big area, which part are you trying to get to?

The 13 serves most of it. You can get it from O'Connell St.

Always amazes me how people in the City Centre choose to stuff themselves onto a 13 for over an hour to get to Clondalkin Village, when the 69 can do it in about 40 minutes.

To expand on that, the following bus routes serve Clondalkin from the city centre:

North Clondalkin (Neilstown / Ronanstown / Northern Fonthill Road) is served by the 40 from O'Connell Street, College Green and Dame Street

The rest of Clondalkin is served by several routes:

Red Cow, Woodford, Clondalkin Village, Bawnogue, and Grange Castle
    - Route 13 from O'Connell Street, College Green and Dame Street

Red Cow, Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village, Cherrywood
    - Route 68 from Hawkins Street, College Green and Georges' Street

Red Cow, Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village, St John's Estate
    - Route 69 from Hawkins Street, Aston Quay

Nangor Road, Parkwest and Grange Castle
    - Route 151 from Hawkins Street, College Green and Dame Street

Routes 13, 40 and 151 are the most frequent, but you will need to check which one operates closest to where you are going.

Full timetables and route maps can be obtained at the following link:
    http://dublinbus.ie/en/Your-Journey1/Timetables/

Or alternatively use www.a-b.ie and enter precise start and end locations.

As stated above the 69 would be the faster route to Clondalkin Village, but it is not as frequent as the 13.

They never said they were going to the village. And from my experience of living in Clondalkin, most people didn't get the 51B/C to get to the village either. So I posted with the most frequent route from town that had the most coverage of Clondalkin.

I'm talking about people I have seen getting on in the City Centre and getting off in the Village.

69 only departs once every hour,13's are far more regular. Also, depending where you are in town, it can be handier to just get the 13 from College Green or O'Connell Street then it is to walk to Aston Quay or Hawkins Street.
