Ok. I screwed up. I didn't backup my efs folder and I have tried all recommended recovery procedures in terms of OS rollbacks via both Odin and Heimdall.

The most recent guide I followed was this one:

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2434225

However no dice. The phone boots perfectly and can connect to wifi however it is unable to connect to any network because of the invalid imei error.

I'm resigned to having a store doing a hard reset, possibly through a JTAG jig (or some other means I haven't discovered yet)

I need a recommendation of someone who can do a good job on this.

    Cheers

My mate had this a while ago, he didn't have a backup either, I tried pretty much everything I know with it, in the end he found a Chinese shop somewhere in Dublin to do an IMEI rebuild with a Sammy flash tool, I ain't got one myself but I'll get onto him and report back here... :-)
