I've an idea for a web project for people to list their gigs in one centralised location. I know what it would like and how it work technically, but I don't know if there'd be much call for it to justify the effort, or if I adequately recognise the requirements of musicians.

What do people here do to promote their individual gigs online?

Are there any websites you can list your gig on so people can find it?

If I was to make a website to that end, what would you need to have in it?

Is there anything that gets in your way when you try to promote gigs online?
