What on earth went on there in the first race today?

I see both Paddy Power and Boylesports refunded bets on Wilde Sapphire, fair play to them, but yet again another embarrassment for Irish Racing.

How on earth can they trust that starter to work on a racecourse again?!?!?!

Yeah I posted this in another thread, it was a ****ing disgrace.

That is one of Henrys leased fillies, I think there are 65 in the syndicate and you can be sure some bet on track. If I took a day off and lost my money because of his stupidity I would be down "having words" with him.

Totally agree, plenty of ****e starters around. The seem arrogant but forget anyone can say come in, wait, go and then drop a tape and generally do it later than they are meant to.

Watched it back on ATR, what a clown. He is just staring at Andrew Lynch as if it was his fault. And I'd be sure on course bookies are not in the business of refunding any bets.

Thank god the bookmakers saw sense and refunded, but to be fair they actually shouldn't have to pick up the pieces for irish racing's incompetence.

If I was the owner I would be absolute fuming. If I was a punter on the tote I would be fuming.

It really was a sham of affairs yesterday and ATR didn't hold back in their criticism towards them, unfortunate, but rightfully so.

Apparently the starter said he was "positive they were all facing the right way", with the horse in question only 5 or 6 feet away right in front of him facing the wrong way!?!?!?!?!?!?!

It wasn't even the start itself, the attempt to start previous to that the tape whipped up on the favourites face and she nearly tried to jump it and was left with no choice but to go on and jump the first hurdle. The guy was a complete joke.

That's the bizzare thing. He was staring straight at him, but yet after the race came out and said "I was positive they were all facing the right way before letting them go".............
