Anyone know how we can tackle the loss of expertise that is effecting the civil/public service and the HSE

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2013/1006/478688-enterprise-ireland-staffing/

Enterprise Ireland is facing a “significant” risk of being unable to deliver some of its key services to Irish exporting companies as it struggles to deal with the loss of expert staff.

Or is it a cost worth paying to bring down government expenditure

Personally I think IDA are one of the most amazing state bodies out there( even the British Government advisers think it does an amazing job). But they also are struggling with funding. I cant understand why the Government cuts funding for important state agencies like IDA and Enterprise Ireland and think it wont affect job creation.

I think IDA are excellent value for money. I dont think the same can be said for enterprise Ireland. Wasnt like 3 state bodies merged, to form Enterprise Ireland to make it more efficient. But I dont think it is as good as it makes its self out to be

If we're not willing to fire non performing state employees, and we're not willing to cut wages, then the only option to reduce the public sector wage is what the government is doing - hiring freezes and a reduction in services.

We're paying the same tax and getting less and less services for it. It's stupid, but there you go, an Irish solution to an Irish problem.
