Tyre wearing too quickly

Hi I have cbr125 r, and the tires last around 6 months on the back. Tires im using are pirelli mt75. There wouldnt be anything wrong with that if the bike was very powerfull and skidding everywhre, except its not. I dont think a 12hp engine is able to burn tires that quickly. What could be the cause? Most of the wear is on the crown so it would suggest acceleration is to blame except the bike has 12hp!

    Its almost certainly your pressure.
If its too low then you have more of the tyre in contact with the road then should be. Hence more wear.

It could also be that you are discarding a perfectly good tyre.

Do you have any pics of the "worn" tyre?

As previous posters pointed out sounds like the tire pressure is too low. Be careful after increasing the pressure as the bike will handle completely different, you might find that you can actually go around bends now :P

Recommended tyre pressures for your bike here... http://motorcycles.wikia.com/wiki/Honda_CBR125R

Over-inflated just as bad as under-inflated...
