I have an 03 Clio and the window wont go up! It'll go down but not up. Before it stopped goin up it used to take ages and was slow. I cant operate it from the drivers side as the switch for it broke somehow. The switch seems to be fine on the passenger side. I have been told it's the motor thats prob the cause. And I'd like to know where I can get a second hand motor. Cheap, as I'm a student. I know of someone who can put one in. It's starting to get cold now at this stage..

Try different breakers, where are you located?

Different breakers? I don't follow.. I do not have any proper technical knowledge about cars so I apologise.. I'm in Waterford

he means a breakers yard, a place where they strip second hand cars and sell bits like headlamps, doors, etc.

you should be able to get a second hand motor and switch cheap enough

    She does :p

OP have a search for car scrapyards around you, you should find something. There are a few who will deliver to you TP Caldwells in Navan do, google them and give them a ring, they will test the part before they send it to you, I used them recently for parts and very pleased with the service.

Alternatively my mechanic repaired the motor on a car of mine for about €100 a few years ago.

If the window is stuck open, what you can try and do (with the door is open) is put each hand on one side of the window and just try to pull it up if that makes sense?
