Hey guys, in need of some pointers. Have submitted apps to about 7 accounting firms, and hopefully will get interviews with a few. Unfortunately, I have no experience with such interviews!

What kind of stuff is asked? And how should I best prepare? Do guys need to wear suits?

Which firms have you applied to?

Big Four, Grant Thornton, Mazars, BDO. Might possibly do some more before the deadlines.

Nice. For the Big Four, check out http://www.mgrad.ie/interviews. Theres a pile of useful stuff on it.

For the smaller firms I'd say check out their sites and grad brochures, they usually provide a lot of info on it.

And yes, you will have to wear a suit for accountancy interviews.

I had no idea PwC required such high LC points.

I'm just about skirting in with 480!

Wear a suit. Be prepared for a sort of "unusual" interview - they may ask you to go through an email inbox and answer some emails. Or so some other accountancy related task. Just to put you on the spot, to see how you react under pressure.

Be VERY enthusiastic and get across that you are willing to work hard and do what needs to be done.
