ok i am heading to orlando at the end of april 14 for 2 weeks.

going to hit the theme parks and NASA as my cousins lives over there and two of them work in disney and universal so its free entry for me:D

i been before to florida, last november in the middle of the hurricance that hit new york. the flight was jammed as it was the only one leaving for america that day. The pre-clearance was a breeze.:D

    Now a few questions.

    1. whats the prices usually getting prices of about €450 return for the dates in questions.does that seem about right. i am heading after the easter rush.

    2. what airline is best. I was on a Air france codeshare the last time and it wasn't the nicest of journeys. i did get a bulkhead premuim seat without having paid for though on the way over. United Airlines seems nice one considering i havent flown with them before.

    3. finally is it better to go dublin or shannon.

    1. €450 return from Ireland to Orlando is a great price. However look at the journey times in both directions. Skyscanner is great but it can throw up some crazy connections through other US airports resulting in 20 hour journey times. I booked Dublin to Orlando recently with Delta through Atlanta for around €450 with nice flight and connection times. I used last minute.com.

    2. Best airline would be Aer Lingus direct to Orlando. You won't get it for anywhere near €450 though. Probably nearer €700. As for the American carriers they are all much of a muchness. I know Delta will be using the A330 with AVOD. Other carriers may be using the smaller 757 without individual screens.

    3. Coming from Mayo, Shannon would be the obvious choice all things being equal. Smaller airport, cheaper parking. Much more choice from DUB though.

Btw if you can wangle and free Disney passes I would be delighted to take them off your hands!

€450 rtn is a great price, I'd be snapping that price up

Easter is late next year, Easter Sunday is April 20th, one of the busiest times at Disney, personally I would avoid that time, go a little earlier or later

Direct with AL is great but we chose SNN this year with a 1hr30 layover in Newark on the way over & a couple of hrs layover on the way back but we are in Limerick so.., flying with United, they have seat back IFI on the transatlantic leg
