    Any recomendations for a week away for a single over 40. Would like to go a day or 2 before xmas day, budget sub 800, everything considered,

    I've been to both egypt and kenya/tanzania for xmas on trips with intrepid. Good mix of ages and great tours.

    Thanks for the reply, dep of foreign affairs not recommending Egypt at the moment and the others are way outside my budget

    Keep an eye on the intrepid website for specials. I got my 8 day kenya / tanzania trip for about €400 if my memory is correct and flights can also be cheap if you are prepared to have an extra stopover rather than flying direct from LHR
