Hi guys, looking to get out with the camera again. Hoping to start into landscapes, any body any suggestions for sweeping landscape shots near Dublin? I'm thinking mountains, lakes etc.. Considering Wicklow - glenmalure, lough Tay perhaps - all suggestions/ input greatly appreciated!! I Haven't been down that way too much, but i do drive, so I'm open to all suggestions. Might even lead to an outing!?

I'd be up for an outing some weekend if you're going. I've been up Sally Gap a good few times and been to powerscourt but have not been too much around Glenmalure.

You'd have to get up there for sunrise though, its on the wrong side of the country for sunset, no?

No you get a decent height so when you look west you can get some nice shots but it would have to be a distinctive sunset to make it worth your while. Some good night shots of the city as well but certainly not starscapes. Here is one I got as the sun was going down a few months back.

There is also Three Rock in Rathfarnham. I would be up for an outing alright.
