308 timing belt or chain

i have a 2010 308 1.6 hdi and was wondering if it had a belt or chain, i have been told two different things by fellas. my last 308 was a 2008 model and the dealer told me it had a chain just not sure on this model and wanted to check. any help would be great

It definitely has a timing belt.

It may also have a chain depending on whether it has the older or newer version of the 1.6HDI engine. The older version was twin cam with a short chain between the cams. The newer version is single cam so doesn't have the chain.

if the vehicle is not included in that list,than it has timing belt.
