Click when applying brake on my 97 Toyota Chaser, was not happening last time I drove car. Seems to be coming from the handbrake area.
    Any ideas?

Is your car auto or manual?

I assume its the microswitch that allows the gear lever to be moved out of Park when you put your foot on the brake. Should not be that loud though so may be on the way out.

Seems to be gone, I was thinking the handbrake auto release myself, Maybe to do with non use for the last 4 months had something to do with it. Usually if it is something wearing then the sound is sure to return. Thanks.
