Hi all, 21 here. Got 220 points in my LC, foundation maths, no irish, rest of my subjects were all ordinary level. Got a few A1's, B's and one or two C's.
    Got nowhere in life.
Have done 2 FETAC courses since, 9 distinctions in them, didnt get any offers for college/university. CAO system is extremely unfair and ruins peoples hopes  (but thats for another thread)

I hated every minute of secondary school and I'm glad to see the back of it, but now im just stuck in some horrible rut with no job or education. As much as it makes me feel sick to have to think about it, I probably need to repeat my entire LC. Because lets be honest, getting into uni as a Mature student isnt exactly looking good either. Theres only a handfull of places and lots of people dont get offered anything.

I'm so bad at maths, I imagine I'm at 1st year level or so. Starting straight into 6th year probably isnt an option because I'm so far behind on maths. I've tried to repeat it since but I simply couldnt keep up. I havent a clue!

Is there any good programs for adult to repeat their leaving cert system full time? With a decent range of subjects (I didnt get to chose any sucjets I had an interest in back in secondary school due to shortages).

Ugh, never thought I'd have to look at this forum again.

Yes. Contact your local ETB (previously VEC).
If you are in Dublin, there is a specialist adult repeat college called Pearse College in Crumlin.

I'm 22 and have just gone back to my local VTOS centre to do the leaving, it's strange to go back to doing history homework etc. after all these years but overall I am really enjoying it. Your options really do depend on what part of the country you are in. Most large towns and cities would have a VTOS centre, I know that some colleges of further education and the college of commerce in Cork are doing the Leaving.
