    My mother just rang me telling me a light came on with a spanner .
    Any ideas what it could be.

    it is a 07 astra

    Engine Management fault. Car will need to be scanned for faults.

    Service light on Astra is "insp" in the mileage display.

    Agree The spanner is not a service light on the astra it covers a number of different faults you'll have to get it scanned.

    Its gone off now. Just brought it for a drive seems fine

    It could just be a sensor acting up. Google astra h brake pedal test. It doesn't always work but it may bring up the fault codes.

    Think she going to bring it in tomorrow. It stays on when you turn the key to position 2 and goes off when it is turned on. Same with the engine light

    Going into the main dealers Saturday morning. Hope it well be alright to drive to Dublin with.

    I should get on of them scanners myself that can be used with a mobile phone

    Since the spanner is disappearing on start up its an old stored code. Best to get it read with an scanner.

    I asked them to do it. 30euro to scan.

    Any good scanner on amazon. Cheap one well do

    Any OBDII scanner will do it...I bought this one a few years back and it works a treat

    brought it in today. code tc p1526 came up/

    bEEN TOLD THIS HAS TO BE DONE.
    throttle lower position not learned. reset with computer. if it comes on again will need throttle valve .

    buzzer for lights not working . Cim will HAVE TO BE REPROGRAMMED FIRST.
