    what would the handiest train station be to get off at in dublin to get the luas to dundrum at?ill be coming from the balbriggan train station. cheers.

    This is a tough one!

    One of the options would be to get off at connolly and get the 14 bus from outside connolly. You can also get this bus outside tara street or the 44 from outside pearse. Both buses would leave you right beside the shopping centre.

    If you are sure about getting the luas note that there is a lengthy walking distance between the city centre train stations and the luas. You would be walking up to Stephens green which is nowhere near a train station. You could get the 14 or 15 from outside connolly to the luas stop on Stephens green, but I personally think the bus would be the better option.

    Walk up from Pearse or Tara to the Green, but you're looking at a 15 minute walk.

    It's a 15 minute walk from Pearse station to St. Stephens Green LUAS stop.

    Put your exact locations (Balbriggan + Dundrum) and relevant dates and times into www.a-b.ie and tweak the settings.

    Note Dundrum Shopping Centre is the old shopping centre, use Dundrum Luas. The new place is Dundrum Town Centre and Balally tends to be better.

    Dublin Bus route 61 is another option from the city centre, but it drops you short of where you want to go.

    Some Bus Éireann route 101 services will take you from Balbriggan (Bank of Ireland) to Kildare Street (check timetable for services going to Wilton Terrace).

    Minority sport would be train to Blackrock and DB route 17 to Dundrum. Train fare would be the same, but you might save 20c on the bus. :)

    Most direct route is DART to Pearse and 44 from there.
