A company called Priority pass selling airline lounge passes for frequent flyers.

Select your country and nationality as Irish and pay €399, select yourself as UK/British and pay €309. Pay an extra €90 just because your Irish. Exact same product with no differences.

Have tried to email the company but ignored. Thought I'd just bring it to the attention of the Irish public, feel free to email them to register disgust, even if not interest in purchasing the product.

Different VAT rate depending on the country of origin?

Maybe not. Germany has the same final price as Ireland if you were to join up.

It seems to be the same price of €399 for all eurozone countries actually.

You would want to be doing a lot of flying to justify paying €399 for a year. While it is a nice perk to have it is not worth the cost. Some of the Irish banks used to offer it with their top end credit cards and current accounts but since Danske withdrew from the Irish retail market there is no incentive for the others to offer it. Shame that.

It's still being offered by AIB with some of their business credit cards.

You can also get it via AMEX with certain cards.

Yeah I get it annually with my company credit card (along with free AA membership).

I only use the PP 2-3 times a year, so it wouldn't be worth €400 for me. A €100+ cup of coffee. :)
