Guys, a little guidence would be appreciated. Seat Alhambra 2.ltr diesel. The other day my wife reported a loss in power whilr driving. when she drove the car again it seemed fine. the same problem reappears every so often. I drove the car today and when the car became sluggish lots of smoke out the back. there is a little oil around the engine and i did find a little tear in the hose going into the turbo. Would that tear in the hose give me those snags or is my turbo gone

Turbo is probably fine, it would be making a horrible noise or not spinning up at all if it was knackered.

Replace the hose first and see how you get on.

Its almost certainly the tear in the hose, air is entering the system after the MAF and it's throwing the air / fuel ratios off , asd a result the car doesn't know what's going on.

Less air than the engine is thnking means it's over fueling, causing the black smoke.
Your turbo is fine man :)
