Corolla "Van to Car" kit

Myself and the sister bought an 07 Corolla van between us over a year ago. Lovely van and has given no bother but in hindsight, a car would've been more suitable.

While looking through Donedeal to see what the van is worth now, I found this ad. It says it has all you need to change from a van to a car for just under €200. Is it too good to be true?

Aside from the physical conversion itself, would it be hard to sort the paperwork to change it from a commercial to a car?

I'm fairly sure you need an engineers report. Would you not have to pay vrt on it too as it's going from a van to car ? If it was converted properly to a van then all the seat belts would be removed and all holes welded closed.

you will have to pay VRT, also im fairly sure the corolla van was a factory model so the seatbelt holes and other such would not even be there.

he doesn't mention glass in the kit. which is another vital element of the car conversion.

Not sure if toyota cut out the seatbelt mounts.

It would be so much hassle and cost that you would be better to sell it and buy the passenger version.

I feared as much, a conversion would be a lot easier said than done! :o

The seat belt holes will be there.

However more than likely the locking point in the floor will have been cut to allow the one to level the floor. That is if it's the same as the golf van. Likewise the anchor point to hold the seat in will have been cut, more than likely.
It seems to be hit and miss.

Also no such thing as a factory van - they all were cars and later converted upon arrival on this little Island. Worldwide there'd be a very small demand for a Corolla Van.
