Hey, so after getting Topaz Fuel Card I was pretty happy with it for start (about 3 months ago), then they changed it to be charged weekly where I got into debt with them because I get my salary in the end of the month, and all month my bank ACC is pretty much empty as I mostly use cash. Because of this, I built up the so called "bad credit history" and now they asked me to pay 250 euro deposit if I want to keep using fuel card, I told them to remove me completely from their clients and that I am no longer with them after which they suggested I destroy card and I am done with them as all debts are paid.

Now I am looking for alternative to topaz fuel card, it's for personal use, not company or business.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Many of the fuel card owned by a parent company called uk fuels. Had a problem with DCI begore and told them where to stick their cards safe in the knowledge that I had Topaz cards as back up... Didnt realise they were both owned by uk fuels. They screwed me after that with weekly invoicing, 5k credit limit and best of all, I had to put a 5k deposit down!!

guess I will just use cash then, especially when Esso seems to be 8-10 cent cheaper now (comparing Finglas Topaz to Fairview Esso few days ago)

Might be worth looking into the AA fuel card. It is run by Topaz but they bill you every two weeks and then take the money two weeks after that. I have a personal one with them.

You get 2c off a litre too.

They may still want a deposit however because of your last Topaz card.

I also have an Esso fuel card (Company One) but its a pain in the hoop to find an Esso garage I find.

Top have fuel cards. Ask in your local Top station for application form.

I'd go with someone too if there was a station near me. The handiest for me right now is the Topaz at Kilshane. It seems to be the cheapest Topaz around by far and the 2c drop is welcome.
