When I open certain apps on my iPhone the top left corner of the screen goes white for about twenty seconds, the phone was bought in March so should be covered by apples warranty, any ideas as to what's causing this, and is it worth a spin to cork to let apple look at it ?

that looks like a software issue caused by a stray animation. also the fact that it comes across on the screenshot of the device. Does it happen consistently? could you perhaps back up and restore to iOS 7.0.2 and see if it still occurs?

It's only now and again it happens I was worried it would get worse

You would have a wasted trip to cork. They don't do anything with iPhones. All are sent to tamworth I'm England for repair.

My brother in England had a problem with his phone after ten months, it kept freezing when opening texts and he took it to apple and they gave him a new one on the spot

Yes that's available in any apple store anywhere. We have no apple stores in Ireland though apart from the one in Victoria square in Belfast.

Go to Belfast or contact apple support. You can start a chat on support.apple.com or else ring them. The number will be there as well.

I had an issue with my battery dying at about 14%. I rang apple on the last day of my warranty, I paid the €29 for express repair and had a brand new iPhone (well it looked brand new from what I could tell) on my desk within 24 hours! Just handed the courier my old one so didn't even have to do without. Great service!

It always amazes me that no one mentions to avail of this you have to supply a cc for apple to put a hold of 6/700 euro on until they get yours back and make sure you didn't damage it. I know it's only a hold but not everyone has a cc.

I get the same issue on the calculator app but only that & it disappears straight away.
