    Hi,
I too just got a suspicious email from this account looking for address and full name. - I have cancelled my bank cards as he/she contacted me via adverts.ie where I posted an ad.

    the email:

    Lad Gordon
    7:52 PM (11 hours ago)

    to me
    Hello,
I really appreciate your response to my earlier text.like i said i will like to buy this item so Pls do withdraw the advert online now. I will also like you to know that i will be paying via bank Draft due to the distance as i am located in London and i believe this is the best way for me to make the payment and would be the safest for both of us.I will need you to provide me with the following information to facilitate the mailing of the cheque.

    1.Your full name
    2.Your mailing address
    3.Your phone number.

I will like you to know that you will not be responsible for shipping,
I will have my mover come over as soon as you have cashed the Cheque...Please get back to me as soon as possible so we can start to make arrangements.

    Regards.

It's so obvious, I don't know how people can fall for these scammers.
I done lots of reading about these 419 scammers before and it is big income for nigeria every year, they work from internet cafes every day, its a big business for them.

...because a lot of people aren't internet savvy.
...because a lot of internet users are of a previous generation that trust too much and aren't aware of the perils of clicking on any old link.

You left out the number one reason why most scams work,

People are greedy and want easy money

I'd be extremely wary of that site.

No physical contact address. Contact is via a gmail aadress.

A brief Google throws up that email address as linked to a Chinese registered website. Probably the source country of those runners, and highly likely to be fake.

I wouldn't be giving them my money.

Considering the main site (http://www.theslcgroup.co.uk) seems to be a support group or something that has NOTHING to do with shopping, I would say that yes, yes the site you linked to is a dodgy site.
The SLC Group provides supported living, floating support and specialist community support services for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, autism and sensory needs - including people from within the deaf and blind communities.

It looks like the "shop" has somehow managed to tag onto the main site without being noticed (yet?) to make it look legit, as most people won't check the main page. The main page does have an address located in the UK and all details seem good at first glance, but I would not trust the shop you linked to at all.

My mantra is if you have any doubts, any at all or have to ask if a site is dodgy then stay away from it or shop at your peril.
