    My tax is out just from September. Don't I have another to tax it even tho my NCT is on Saturday?

    Not if the car is declared off road. You are then permitted to drive it un-taxed to/from an NCT appointment.

    Only source of this information is motortax.ie website.
    Pity it's not based on any law, because in the worst case, judge while prosecuting someone, will go by the law, not info from website.
