hi, would anyone have any idea why the overflow pipe out side, has water running from it every time I run the hot water tap. the odd thing is it seems to happen when the water in the cylinder in cold. e.g. when the heating and immersion is off. it has happened a couple of times now, and it probably happens when the water is hot too, but ive only ever never noticed it when the water was cold.
    cheers..........

my only guess would be as you are running water and the ballvalve arm drops that its locking in the open position and therefore overflowing, how do u stop it in the end or does it stop itself? and it dripping or flowing out of it?

the water is flowing out but stops after a while.
