Hi I'm just wondering where is the best source to buy valuable coins? or Art?. Not sure if this is the right section but I'd appreciate any links.
    Thanks

Hi, I have moved this from Investments and Markets on the basis that you will probably get more appropriate responses here.

Local mods, I hope this is appropriate.

I buy most of my coins off ebay. Off people who collect and sell with good feedback i spend ages though to find deals....Have mostly american 2 gold 40 silver and lots more... the more valuable ones:

1908 M half soverign (only a 1 or 2 on ebay atm in XF 300-400 euro)
    1859 5 gold Franc
    1853 gold $1
    1862 gold $1
    1856 0 Half Dollar

and many in the 20-50 euro range

Have also about 40 coins graded by PCGS.

Im only 16 so not doing too bad!Getting Harris Coin albums soon and going to buy the sets of coins like all the Lincoln cents bar a few which will be about 250 coins all different dates and mint marks handier than buying 1 by 1 and at a good price at 30-50 c a coin including semi key dates.

What coins are you into yourself? :)

Try vcoins.com or ma-shops.com for online dealers. For auctions, try sixbid.com for links to a lot of online auctions. The best material usually come up at auction. In Dublin, I guess you could try Whytes or Adams, for art anyway.

You would probably want to swot up on potential purchases or get a professional second opinion if new to the scene. No shortage of swindle merchants selling duds out there.
