Dell Laptop Charger

    Hi all,
I’ve a query in relation to my Dell laptop charger. I would appreciate if someone could help me with this!
Basically, the green light appears on the charger when I plug it in and connect it to the laptop but it doesn’t actually charge the laptop. I’ve tried using the charger on other Dell laptops and I’m having the same problem – the green light appears on the charger but it doesn’t actually charge the laptop! Maybe batteries / chargers stop working after a number of years as the laptop is 4 -5 years old?
Can anyone recommend any where in Dublin where I could get this fixed or possibly get a new charger? I’m not too keen on buying from second hand sites – i.e. ebay etc
    Many thanks.

Remove the battery and see if the power supply is working. If it does, it more likely a problem with the battery.

Will it run the laptop with no battery attached? If not, the charger is bollixed. If it does, either the battery or on-motherboard charging circuitry is prob faulty.
