Wedding Outfit Etiquette???

    It is a beautiful dress.
I wouldn't wear it, not because it is rude (like wearing white would be), but because it would be embarrassing being mistaken for a bridesmaid all day.

Bridesmaids and flower girls could all have different navy dresses and you would look similar, particularly if you are a friend of the bride's and wild be in photos with her and or other bridesmaids.

if you had a very different style dress to the bridesmaids, then I might say that it would be OK, especially if you added different colour accessories.

However, if there's the remotest possibility that you could be mistaken for a bridesmaid, then I'd avoid. This could happen easier than you think given that there is a trend for bridesmaids to choose individual style dresses, but all in the same colour.

Gorgeous dress! It should be easy enough to find that style of dress in a different colour
