    Hi,

    Just looking for opinions.
Would it be possible to repair the attached? Would it be worth it if possible I wonder.

Worth it? Hardly. What good is a seven year old laptop with an AMD Sempron processor and 256 MB RAM (unless upgraded) in this day and age? ;)

It has been upgraded and it's the one the kids use.
Have seen a replacement case on ebay for €30 might just go for it and save the hassle of trying to do a repair that would probably not last long. ;)

you could try to repair the part - build up the area around the hinge

Quicksteel / Metal Repair Epoxy Putty - might work

follow the instructions to the letter otherwise is guaranteed to fail

or chase the part on ebay
