Where is my life going?

27 year old girl. Have a good job, and lots of friends, but feeling like what is the point of my life this last while.
I’ve never had a boyfriend, and feel like if I got one now, would they judge me for this.
I also find it difficult to chat up guys as I’m quite shy, and usually go for drink for a bit of dutch courage. This often ends up the other way where I just end up really drunk.
Just feeling a bit worthless at the moment, and not sure how to turn it around :(

Your not worthless! A pub isn't a great way to meet a potential partner because of the noise. So your young, have a job and friends . That's great. You could join a local club maybe you would meet a guy there.

Why would they judge you for not having had a boyfriend? Plenty of men haven't had a serious girlfriend either at that age.

As regards the getting drunk bit, well you know it happens so maybe limit the amount that you drink so that that isn't an issue.

OP, it's probably not what you want to hear, but your situation is far better than most. A good job, great friends and feeling the way you do? I don't have much sympathy to be honest.

All that I can say, is relying on drink will get you no where. The person is getting to know the "false" you. Find your comfort zone and use it meet people on your wavelength. No one is being true to themselves when they use drink as a crutch.

And no one is going to judge you for a particular mindset. It's hardly something you're going to bring up on a first date, is it?

I'm a guy of the same age.
If you meet a guy and he judges you for not having previously had a boyfriend, then he's the wrong type of guy.
There's lots of single guys out there, of all types.
If you want to meet one in a pub/club scenario, just stand somewhere easily accessible(ie; not a corner or in a big group) and wait. Guys will try to chat you up no matter how you are dressed or what you look like. Its up to you then if you want to be chatted up or not by whichever guy approaches you.

And of course, life doesn't have a point unless you give it one. Maybe try setting small goals for yourself on a regular basis, it can really improve your outlook.
Personally I try to see something different everyday and this can be as small a thing as walking on the opposite side of the street to the side you normally walk on. A different perspective on the mundane can really improve a person's mood.

Don't be rediculous they're not going to judge you, they know nothing about you. Some people might be surprised, only because that's their reality - they probably don't know any 27 year old that never had a bf or gf. But it's far from unusual.

If you have a good job and lots of good friends, then you have more than a lot of people. Good friends are rediculously hard to find. And the job scene at the moment, well I don't need to go there.

Everyone finds it difficult to chat up whoever they fancy, I wouldn't go beating yourself up over that.

I'm curious, what do you do outside of work and drinks at the weekend? It could be that you don't have any passions or big interests. Sometimes having those things in your life makes it feel like life is really worth living, those can be the things that give your life purpose as they really make you happy.

Though the majority of your post is aimed at the opposite sex so I'm guessing that's what you feel is the problem. Try getting involved in activities that involve men and women like mixed sports or charity work or hill walking or arts and crafts. Anything that builds and expands your social circle will help you meet guys.
