    Hi all

Have a Nexus 7 (first gen) but thinking of getting something a big bigger to better read comics and magazines, and stream media content while I'm in bed (shut up, I can be lazy!)

Ideally a cheapie chinese tablet, so the most important things would be screen quality and a good firmware (as I end up always rooting them anyway).

Heard good things about the Pipos, but completely clueless and looking forward to any advice!

    Cheers

I'm planning on picking up a tablet for my sister in the next few weeks and have been busy researching. I've also heard good (and some bad) things about pipo tablets.

Anyway I came across the sumvision cyclone voyager 2 series of tablets over on ebuyer, which as far as I can tell are rebranded pipo's. The spec's are identical http://www.sumvision.com/product/cyclone-voyager-2/#spec . Obviously they cost a bit more than buying direct from China. But you can actually return these if there's a problem.

    The 10.1in is already available http://www.ebuyer.com/489484-sumvision-cyclone-voyager-2-tablet-pc-cycvoy2101 .

Personally I'm going to wait for the 9.7in 297 as my sister would prefer an ipad style tablet http://www.ebuyer.com/524797-sumvision-cyclone-voyager-297-tablet-pc-cycvoy297 .
I know play store apps are going to hate that awkward resolution, but hopefully most of her favorite apps will work.

    Hi Guys,
I have one of the voyager 2 and got another for a friend and cant recommend it enough all the specs of a note and cheaper.I got it from ebuyer its the exact same as the pipo m9 only rebranded and no customs to worry about.I have all the usual apps on it and have xbmc with all my media.
Wifi is great and had no problem updating to 4.2 jelly bean.
In the process of getting another one in a week or two!!!!!

That one definitely looks like the business!

Bit more expensive than I was looking for but solid piece of kit!

(I'm always a bit weary of buying them straight from China If there's any problems myself)

Although, if I'm spending that extra bit of money, might look for a 3g enabled tablet.
    Hum, decisions, decisions.

Does anyone have experience of the 7" Voyager? http://www.ebuyer.com/407319-sumvision-cyclone-voyager-tablet-pc-cycvoy7
Looks like a decent budget option for those in search of a smaller screen.
