What would be a fairly decent hostel in Cork City?

Friends of mine stay here when they come to Cork. It's right outside the train station.

What do you want it for, how long and roughly when.

A hostel for a lads weekend would have very different requirements to a hostel to live for a month while waiting for a paycheck or houseshare to come through.

Do you have transport, do you need to be in a particular part of the city?

probably in mid/late November. Just for two days, just a lads weekend thing. Yeah have transport. Want to be in the city centre or at least within walking distance

Kinlay house, Sheilas, and Isaacs are all good for what you want, although Isaacs seem to be trying to brand themselves more as a hotel these days.

If it was for longer, related to colleges or if you needed to be over the west side of the city I would suggest one of the student "villages", North or south you'd need a B&B really.
